Planning a Halloween Party for seniors

By Irene Hanson
RR Hospital Aux.

Our regular meeting was October the 5th with 20 members present. A really good turnout. It was great to have you all come.
We opened with the Auxiliary prayer; Carolee read the minutes of the last meeting, and we approved them as read. There was no business arising from the minutes, and no old business and no correspondence.
New business included: we will do a Halloween Party for the long term care residents in the hospital on the 29th of October. If you see some strange looking people there, don't panic it's just one of us. The lunch will include black and orange jello and cup cakes.
Next, the Christmas Bazaar was discussed, tickets for the 50/50 draw are out, also for the Arctic Cat Jacket.
Items for the Penny table are to be left at Carolee's house by November 25, the cost of the item is needed for our licence.
Dawn Jarvis gave the financial report, and it was accepted as read, followed by the special committees giving their reports.
We concluded with Carolee Hogue reading her report on the executive conference held at Dryden on September 18, for the Northwest Region. Noreen Robertson was the guest speaker. The Spring Conference will be April 9, 2011 at Kenora.
The next meeting will be on Nov 2 in the United Church basement (side door) at 1:30. See you all there.
