RR Open set to tee-off Aug. 2nd Golfers need to sign up soon

Rules and Pre-Registrations for the Rainy River Open Golf Tournament were released today by the Rainy River Golf Tournament Committee. This year’s annual event will be held on Monday, August 2 to coincide with Rainy River’s Centennial Homecoming Weekend.
The Tournament will be held at the Oak Harbor Golf Course, NW of Baudette, MN with the first flight of 80 scheduled for 8:00 am. An additional flight will tee off at 12:30 pm if pre-registrations exceed the 80 per round the course is limited to.
Adjustments to the rules have been considered, to broaden the scope of admission criteria to include the Rainy River community’s “past and present” residents and their families.
The Awards Ceremony will be held at Rainy River’s Royal Canadian Legion Br #54 at 5:30 Monday evening. The Masons are planning a Fish Fry there Monday evening as well, so plan on a real Homecoming windup.
Entrance fees are $35.00 CND for the Championship Flight and $30.00 CND for the Men, Ladies, and Youth Flights and must be received with full payment by July 8, 2004. Cheques should be made out to Angie Armstrong

A list of flight times will be posted around town during Homecoming Weekend, at the Big Tent, Registration Centre and at commercial establishments.
Carts may be rented on a first come first serve basis at the Oak Harbor Golf Course from Club staff by contacting them directly at 218-634-9939.
