Ewald Kaus of Logan Lake, B.C. passed away peacefully at the Kamloops Hospital in B.C. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 85 years of age.
Ewald loved his family dearly. He is survived by his loving wife Mary of 60 years. Also mourning his loss aredaughter Pamela (Steve) Hill, sons Jerry (Edna), Richard (Helen), Leonard (Linda) Mark (Kerry) 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brother Don (Tina), sisters Rose Hanson, Ruth (Earl) Sandmoen, sister-in-law Sonia Jarvis (Percy Day), brother-in-law Emil (Karen) Prusky, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Eric and Lena Kaus, parents-in-law Steve and Tillie Prusky, brothers-in-law Bill, Matt and Gene Prusky, Earl Hanson and Don McGregor.
Ewald was born in Germany and immigrated to Ontario at the age of 2 1/2 years. He married Mary in 1950. Ewald worked in various industries such as farming, forestry and finally mining, working his way west as he did so. Ewald and his family have resided in Logan Lake for 37 years. He worked as a millwright at Highland Valley Copper for 17 years and had enjoyed retirement for 20 years. He enjoyed playing Senior's Slo-Pitch, curling, hunting, camping, playing cards and visiting with friends.
Ewald will be forever loved and remembered by many.
