Rainy River’s Brenley Anderson reached a national pinnacle last week. She was ranked number one in the United States for points in women’s college hockey.

Anderson, the daughter of Brent and Heather Anderson of Rainy River, is in her second year at Rainy River Community College in International Falls. She is team captain of the college’s women’s hockey team.
As of last Wednesday she was ranked number one by the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division two in the U.S. After nine games she has notched 30 points! The woman in the number two spot has 28 pts. in 13 games.
Her coach Evan Amdahl said that her totals are very impressive and in fact do not include another game.

“We also played one non-league game against Assiniboine Community College from Brandon, MB and won 7-2. Brenley had two goals and three assists that game. However those stats don’t count in the league totals.”
