Rosario Rene, 96

Peacefully on January 15, 2011 at the Rainy River Health Center, Rainy River, Ont, with his family by his side, Rosario Rene of Pinewood, Ont, passed away at the age of 96.
Rosario was born in Quebec on July 14, 1914 to Joseph and Regina Rene. He came to the Rainy River District with his father and brother in the mid 1930s, settling in Nelles Twp, where they homesteaded. Rosario logged and farmed for many years, along with driving school bus. He was united in marriage to Eveyln Seguin in 1949.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children Solange (Bill) Bingleman of Nipigon, Ont, John Rene of Pinewood, Ont, Rose-Marie (Don) Cunningham of Ignace, Ont, Claudette Rene of Kenora, Ont, Leona Rene of Thunder Bay, Ont, and Maurice Rene of Pinewood, Ont, his grandchildren Susan (Brent) Lemieux, Donna (Tony) Buskens, Julie (Bob) McLeod, Paula (Jack) Covert, Richard (Melissa) Cunningham, Amaryah Rene(Harvey Brant), Celeste Rene-Mathers (Josh Kelly), his great grandchildren Morgan Lemieux, Kendra Lemieux, Delaney McLeod, Davis McLeod, Jackson Covert, Xavier Cunningham, Peyton Cunningham, Fynn Kelly.
Rosario was predeceased by his wife Evelyn and his eight siblings. Family and friends will be received at the Northridge Funeral Home, Emo, Ont on Tuesday January 18, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 19, 2011 at 1 p.m. from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bergland, Ont. Interment will take place in Pinewood Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Seguin, Dave Seguin, Bert Seguin, Bill Bingleman, Alan Mathers and Don Cunningham.
