Thinking of spring time beautification efforts

Green grass, flowers, sunshine, warm rain, the first thunderstorm - Things of Spring! Who can think of such things - knee deep in snow and ice, with the temperature threatening to plummet again - Who? The town's beautification committee, that's who!
They are talking of hanging baskets, green spaces and wrought-iron fences. Getting things ordered, fixed and ready, why wait for spring, do it now! The memorial baskets are open to be purchased at the Town Office. The price again is $40.00. This price includes the cost of the basket, the repairs to the baskets, watering and fertilizing for the season. Please support this effort again. The baskets do make our Town look so nice.
This year instead of memorial trees the committee is consulting with council about purchasing wrought-iron fencing for the roadside of the cemetery. Purchase and installation cost is as follows 6 ft for $200.00 or 3ft for $100. This is a beautiful fence and will really add to the cemetery's distinction. Plaques of 3x4 or 4x6 will be put on the posts, in memorial of whom you wish to purchase the fence in memory of. Mail orders for the fencing project are also available. Just mail your cheque and information to the Town of Rainy River, "Fence Project" Box 488, Rainy River, Ont P0W 1L0.
Once again, the beautification committee wish to thank all who participated last year and hope you will again this year. If you haven't participated in the past - Now is the time to "Spring" forward - your support would be much appreciated.
