Having surgery opened my eyes

Letter to the Editor,
Friends will come to the forefront whenever problems as to financial difficulty or health should arise. Surprisingly old friends forgotten for a lengthy period of time will surface to wish you well.
True friendship is a gift of a lifetime which can be cherished, forgotten or destroyed by being unforgiven by turning the other cheek to understanding how powerful friendship can be.
Having a triple Bi-Pass operation opened my eyes to how many people are truly concerned with personal welfare and just how many friends out there are wishing you well and a prayer.
My thoughts go to all these people that cared and my sincere wishes for a very special festive holiday to everyone in our quest for peace everlasting.
Friendship worldwide is the only answer to make this become a reality, and not just a mere hope.
