Ericka Tymkin wins LoW talent show

While it was not American or Canadian Idol, the Lake of the Woods School Talent show was fun for Ericka Tymkin, 9, of Rainy River.
The youngster travelled to Baudette on Saturday to compete in the school’s annual talent show. Performing the song “Part of Your World,” from the movie “The Little Mermaid,” Tymkin captured the audience and the judges’ attention. She also grabbed top marks for a musical performance.
That gave her the title of “Music Champ!” For her efforts she won $10 cash and some movie passes.
Tymkin has competed in talent shows at the Rainy River Walleye Tournament and at Rainy River High School.
