Still selling memorial fencing
By Jeanette Armstrong
Beautiful Bloomers
It has been a very busy summer for the town Beautification Committee. We have been busy at the park cleaning up around the food gazebo. We are thankful for the young people from Michigan who helped with the digging and cleaning and also painted the gazebo.
The students are doing a great job of watering and also keeping the park looking so nice.
The flower baskets were provided by Loewen's. Again they look fabulous this year. Thank you so much to all who bought memorial baskets.
The fire hydrants on the north side of town have all been painted and the benches we've been working on were completed by the Michigan group.
We are so thankful for our volunteers who faithfully weed all the planters.
The cemetery flowers look great! We are ordering the wrought iron fencing. We have sold 45 ft of fencing and are looking to sell 300 ft. It can be purchased 3ft at $100.00 at the town office. There will be a plaque with the donation and who it is in memory of attached to the fence.
The Beautification meetings will be held the 1st Thursday of the month at 5 p.m. at the drop in centre. Everyone is welcome.
