Charles Edward Acree, 47

Charles (Chuck) with his beloved wife Rose (nee Bordynuik) at his side passed away peacefully on June 15, 2003 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, at the age of 47, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Chuck will be sadly missed by his wife Rose and the joy in his life, daughters Amy age 11 and Amber age 10.
Also left to mourn his loss are his parents Jack and Pearl Acree of Rainy River, brothers Wayne (Anne) of Rainy River, Perry (Eva) of Kenora, George (Pat) of Kenora, Paul of Thunder Bay: sisters, Nancy (Bill) Russell of Winnipeg, Kathie Bradfield of Sault Ste. Marie, Julie (Richard) Roy of Keewatin: sister-in-law Natalie Ducharme of Kenora, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many, many friends, especially Bob (Tank) Magnusson.
Chuck’s love of music from an early age grew into a passion for the trumpet and is now being continued by daughter Amy. Always having an inquisitive mind and a desire to know what made things work, led him into auto mechanics which became his trade of choice. Of late he built a T-bucket from the frame up. Other hobbies he made time for included gazing at the stars through a telescope, building model airplanes, and exploring the underwater world in scuba gear. Charles was always ready for a lively discussion with family and friends to explain “The world according to Chuck”.
As a member of the Keewatin Legion Chuck was called upon to play taps at the Remembrance Day Services and other legion functions.
As Charles walked his Road of Life there were many turns. It was on one of these corners that he found the Lord Jesus through the Water of Life Family Church. The family of the late Charles Edward Acree wish to thank Pastors Carol and Bill Lawson for all their prayers and support.
Honorary Pallbearers were: Bob Magnusson, Ian MacDonell, Ross Playfair, Wayne Myren, Blackie Belanger, Dave McDonald.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
