RR Community Choir begins rehearsing for Handel’s Messiah

Rehearsals commence this Wednesday, Sept 6 at 6:30 p.m at Riverview School for members of the Rainy River Community Choir. Members who pre-registered at the spring meeting for the Messiah choir, may arrive promptly at 6:30 to pick up their music, practice CDs, and information sheets. Rehearsal will be immediately following. Cost for each copy of Handel’s Messiah is $13 and the practice CD’s (optional) are $5. There will be no additional costs.

The choir will be rehearsing parts for a production of Handel’s famous work “Messiah”, where they will be joining forces with several other choirs and orchestra members throughout the district in two exciting concerts to take place on Dec. 1st in International Falls and Dec. 2nd in Baudette.

Rehearsal will commence at 7:45 for those members who are not participating in Handel’s Messiah. They will be preparing a short program to sing at the Borderland Community Orchestra’s Christmas concert to be held in Pinewood in late November. There will be no cost for participating in this.

It is not too late to participate and anyone who hasn’t registered yet may do so by phoning Stephanie Hawkins at 482-1047. New voices are always welcome.
