RR beach reopens

Hannam Park’s beach was reopened Friday for swimming.
The Northwestern Health Unit, which tests the water weekly, closed it on July 17, 2003 when tests showed high levels of ecoli at the beach.
Dave Coates of NWHU said they reopened the beach last Friday after two consecutive tests showing acceptable levels of bacteria had come back from the lab.
They test the water every week.
Coates said the results come back usually by Wednesday and if need be they close the beach in question.
