Lindners win Fort bass tourney

The top ten at the Canadian Bass Championship in Fort Frances over the weekend was predominantly from out of town.
Only one local team, Don Cumming and Harry Bell of Fort Frances weighed in near the top of the pack with 49.32 lbs.; good enough to earn them 9th place.
The top team was Jameds and Bill Lindner of the U.S. who had a three day total of 55.46 lbs.
2nd: John Guzej and Ted Stewner of Wpg., with 52.76 lbs.
3rd: Ted Olson and Bob Hell of the U.S. with 52.38 lbs.
4th: Scott Ourada and John Allen of the U.S. with 51.94 lbs.
5th: Dave Lindsay and Colin Gluting of Sioux Narrows and Wpg. with 49.32 lbs.
6th: Bernie Zutter and John Millier of Chippewa Falls and Rice Lake with 51.6 lbs.
7th: Scott Bonnema and Mark Fisher of the U.S. with 51.58 lbs.
8th: John Janousek and Chad Johnson of the U.S. with 49.5 lbs.
10th: Scott Cook and Jerry Millar of Wpg. with 48.86 lbs.
Bill Godin and Karl Howells of Lake Despair came in 13th with 48.3 lbs.
Leo Heyens and Ted Heyens of Stratton finished 42nd wtih 42.9 lbs.
John Gibbins and Jules Gibbins of Morson finished 71st with 37.1 lbs.
