Crackel/Duggan win 30th Annual RR open

They are keeping it in the family!
Glen Crackel became part of an elite group of golfers Monday when he won the 30th annual Rainy River Open, held at Warroad Estates Golf Course.
Glen won the championship title for the fifth time with a score of 82. Only his brother Guy has won it five times; Guy winning it a fifth time last year.
Coming in second was another multi-time champion, Wally Duggan with a score of 83. In third was Guy with 85.
Winning the Ladies title was the champ from two years ago, Cheryl Duggan with score of 95. This was her 8th time winning the title.
Taking second was Carla Armstrong with 114 and third was Rose Tetu with 117.

Tournament chair Glen Armstrong was pleased with the turnout of 62 for the tournament. That is down by five from last year, but the committee was still very pleased with that. “We had great hospitality from the course owners, everyone seemed to have fun and the weather cooperated,” said Armstrong.
