13th RRWT lands here this weekend!

It is ready, set go fish time in Rainy River!
The 13th Annual Rainy River (live release) Walleye Tournament will kick off this Thursday at 4 p.m. with the parade of boats down Main St.
That will be followed by the Fisherman’s Dinner at 5 p.m. and rules meeting under the big top at Hannam Park.
Beer gardens will open to the public at 7:30 p.m. and then at 9 p.m. TOP Music Productions will entertain for the evening until mid-night.
Early Friday morning the roar of boats will be heard up and down the Rainy River as 90 teams head out on the water in search of lunkers at 8:45 a.m.
A business and farmers market will open at 11 a.m. and run until 5 p.m.
At 1 p.m. Antiques Appraiser Wayne Pettit will be looking at local people’s treasures and heirlooms.
A silent auction will open at 1 p.m. also.
At 4:45 p.m. Day 1 weigh-ins will begin. They promise to be really exciting and will set the tone for Day 2, with the top five boats from the first day being held back until the very end of the final weigh-ins.
Afterwards Pettit will resume antique appraisals and the Locum House Committee will host a fish fry.
At 9:45 p.m. area band Centre-Line will take to the stage and rock and roll until 2 a.m.
Saturday begins a little earlier than Day 1. Boats leave at 7:45 a.m. but they will also return earlier, at 3:15 p.m.
Fun for kids begins at 11 a.m. with games and face painting and the always popular RRWT Kids Fishing Derby!
A new attraction for kids this year will be Interactive Nerf Tag and Capture the Flag, also at 11 a.m.
After the weigh-ins the Legion will host its annual steak fry.
At 5 p.m. there will be RRWT Trivia with crowd participation needed.
Then at 5:30 p.m. the trophies and cash will be presented to this year’s winners! Also the Legion boat raffle winner will be announced!
Sat. night the Catie St. Germain Band will take to the stage to entertain and get people up dancing.
It promises to be a great weekend with fun for all, great food and beverages and hopefully some big fish to be seen!
