It's playoff season and the Rainy River High School girls basketball teams are playing host this week!
Both junior and senior girls teams finished atop of the NORWOSSA league last week with wins at home and on the road last week.
On Monday RRHS Owls faced the Atikokan Voyageurs in Rainy River. The jr. girls won handily 43-18 and the srs. won a close one 33-31.
Then on Tuesday the teams travelled to Red Lake where the jr. girls hammered the Red Lake Rams 35-3 and the srs. won 32-26.
Wednesday they wrapped up their season in Kenora against the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints. The jrs. made quick work of the Saints winning 44-15 and the srs. had a nail-biter winning 42-41 to clinch top spot in the league. By doing so the srs. earned RRHS the right to host NORWOSSA playoffs today and tomorrow.
