Don’t call it marriage

Dear Editor:
A little common sense goes a long way, but aparently not in the Canadian Parliament. I certainly have to agree with Mr. Longenecker. If a ‘He’ and a ‘He-ette’ want some kind of ‘papered arragement’, they should find another word to describe the union.
Call it an agreed alliance, a concerted connective, a coherent collaboration, a funky federation, a ‘man’-like merger, a unique unity, etc; just don’t refer to the ‘arrangement’ as a marriage, thus soiling society’s affirmation and recognition of the true definition of a normal marriage between a man and a woman.
