RR Legion Aux. to host District Meeting

The Legion Ladies Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on February 8th with President Val Nelson presiding. There were 17 members present and one initiation. Laurie Fairfield has joined the Auxiliary. Minutes of the January meeting were read and approved. Treasurer Donna Ivall gave an account of the Auxiliary finances.
Correspondence was read and accounts authorized for payment. A thank you card was received from Brandon Hanson for the bursary received for a High School Scholarship.
Also a bursary has been sent to Jessie Bourre for the other scholarship received.
A request for a donation from Riverview School was read, to help fund their swim program. A motion to donate $100.00 was approved for this.
As it is our turn to host the District Meeting this year, held on March 30, 31 and April 1. , we have a busy work schedule ahead.
Members are reminded that we are all asked to donate a gift for the Penny Table held at this event. Also a small gift of lower value for the prizes that are given out during the meeting.
The cost of registration for this event is $5.00 and registration will be at the Legion Club room on Friday, March 30th at 7 p.m. or Saturday, March 31st at 10 a.m. Cost for the Banquet, dance and Saturday lunch and Sunday Breakfast is $25.00. Our theme for this event is Disney.
There will be an executive meeting on February 13th. We will be raffling an Easter Basket soon. Tickets will be available in the Legion.
