Apologies are in order from so called comedian

Letter to the Editor:
I attended the Walleye Tournament in Rainy River on Friday evening. We had only stopped in to deliver a banner and heard that a hypnotist was going to perform so we decided to stay for the show.
Prior to the hypnotist show we were subjected to the most disgusting performance that I have ever witnessed. The performer was billed as a local commedian. I kept thinking throughout the half hour of drunken verbal abuse to the residents of Rainy River that surely one of the organizers of the event would call a halt to it but no such luck.
After the show I approached a lady that was taking admission at the door and asked her what she thought of the performance. She said’ “Wasn’t he funny?” She apparently was one of the organizers. I said surely you didn’t pay him to get up on stage and degrade the town of Rainy River and it’s community members. She said “Off course, Come off it. That’s Adult Entertainment!”
Well, I am no prude and I have heard adult entertainment but this was totally unacceptable.
I believe the organizers of the tournament owe me and the town of Rainy River a very, very big appology.
