Nurses recognized for the work they do
By Irene Hanson
Hosp. Aux.
With eighteen members present, we opened our regular meeting, reading the auxiliary prayer.
The minutes were read, financial report given, and all committees reported.
Bev Langner (Foundation Board Rep) reported there were 22 new residents welcomed into Rainycrest.
Gill Stamler (Riverside Board Rep) reported the new C.E.O. Alan Katz was present at this meeting and welcomed.
It was stated they are still actively looking for both full time doctors and locums. Gill also will be sending a report every month to Diane Clifford our local activities.
It was brought to our attention that the Chamber of Commerce Trade Show will now be on July 21st combined with Rail Road Daze. After some discussion, we all agreed to join the Chamber of Commerce as associate members, and support them in their endeavours.
For secretary week and nurses week we will present each of the employees at the hospital with a rose, in appreciation for the work they do. Myrna Armstrong will take care of this.
We will be planting flowers around the hospital on June 13 at 1:30. Members able to come please do so. Several members will be going to the Foundation Jewelry party.
The 25th anniversary party we had hoped to have in June will be rescheduled for the Fall. The next meeting is June 5. It will be a luncheon, the phoning committee will let you know where, when and the cost.
