Library Corner: Summer fun begins soon

By Michael Dawber

Rainy River – Get ready to IMAGINE at the Rainy River Public Library!
IMAGINE is the theme for this year’s TD Summer Reading Club for Kids.
We will have fantastic stories about knights, castles, magic, and mystery.
Registration for the Reading Club is now open. Caregivers and children up to age 12 can join for free.
Every child receives a free poster, activity book and stickers.
Our Reading Club will meet Fridays in July and August for stories, crafts and games.
Club time starts at 11 a.m., Friday, July 6.
A parent or caregiver must accompany children during our program.
Don’t forget: kids win a prize for every book they read!
They can win a second prize for creating a picture, story or web-posting about the book.
You can log your books read during all regular library hours, not just club time.
At the end of the summer, our top two readers will each win a special grand prize.
We’ll also have a prize for the reader making the most creative pictures, stories and web-postings.
The big prizes will be handed out at our last club time on Friday, August 17.
To join the TD Summer Reading Club, email the library at libraryrr@gmail.com or phone 807.852.3375.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
