“I first saw the winning numbers on television and I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t’ sure about the prize amount so I had it validated at a store. When the clerk told me I had won $250,000 the first thing I said was ‘Bonus!’” Wayne Lengyel Jr. of Fort Frances told staff at Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s Toronto Prize Office when he claimed his $250,000 ENCORE prize from the August 7th draw.
Lengyel, 33, is a carpenter. He and his girlfriend Mandy have one son. His plans for the windfall are to buy a house and get married.
The winning ENCORE ticket was purchased at 364 Food Store in Fort Frances.
