Grand Theater opens this Friday

After a more than a year of fund raising and about a decade of dreaming a new movie theater has become a reality for the Baudette and Rainy River area.

The Grand Theater will open this Friday with two shows. One will be a children’s show; Atlantis; and the other an adult show; Pearl Harbor.

The movie house will operate seven days a week with new shows beginning on Fridays.

The early show will be at 4:30 p.m. and the late show at 7 p.m.

The new theater is run by the Baudette Community Foundation and once it is paid for any profits it makes will be used for community projects.
