Plenty to do in RR Labour Day

Ken Johnston

There will be plenty of action in Rainy River this Labour Day weekend.
The Rainy River Recreation Centre will be the hub of fun for the day time activities.
The Rainy River Legion Royals Fastball team will be hosting their annual tournament. They are expecting 10 teams from across the district and beyond.
The Recreation Board will simultaneously be hosting an eight team slo-pitch tournament. There are only a few spots left for teams so anyone interested in registering should call the Rec. Centre at 852-4446.
There will also be a $1,000 dance at the Legion Saturday night. The last ticket in the pot will win $1,000 cash!
There is no admission charge to watch the baseball and all are welcome to come and cheer their favourite team. Concessions and canteen will be open all weekend.
Action gets underway Friday evening and runs until Sunday evening.
