Jam21 sold to Sudbury company

News Release
Jam21.Net

Effective October 1st, 2004, there will be operational changes as Jam21.Net has been officially acquired by Vianet Internet Solutions, of Sudbury, Ont. and the largest independent ISP in Northern Ontario.
Jam21.Net started operation in 1999 and has evolved into the area’s largest Internet provider. It was the first ISP in the area to offer unlimited dialup pricing, 56k dialup service, 2.4 Ghz wireless Internet, SpeedDial (high speed dialup) and CableNet (high speed cable Internet).
After the transition, the office in Fort Frances will remain staffed and open at the same location. Customers can be assured that their current jam21.net i.d. will not be changed or cancelled now or in the future. All current internet services and pricing will remain intact and the dial up number will remain 274-4984.
Serving Ontario since 1995, Vianet has grown steadily to provide local access throughout Ontario and continues to expand its service area. In a market dominated by monopoly phone and cable companies, Vianet continues to succeed as an independent business. Their website address is http://www.vianet.ca
Beginning October 1st all dialup customers will be authenticating off Vianet servers.
Jam21.Net founder Dave Ashworth said that he greatly appreciates the patronage his customers have shown Jam21 over the years.
