Pinewood scene of another drug bust

For the second time in the past several months the police have laid charges in connection with drugs in the Pinewood area.

Two men were arrested and charged in Pinewood on Thursday. Police seized 18 mature marijuana plants, half-a-pound of dried marijuana, seven long guns, a crossbow, a switchblade and a quantity of cash.

Police said the potential street value of the seized drugs is about $23,000.

As a result of the bust a 35 year old Pinewood man faces charges of

production of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime, having an insecurely stored weapon and possession of firearms without a permit.

Another male, 49, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
