Senior Friendship Group News

On Sept. 15/04 we met at the depot for fun and fellowship. John Gosselin was our guest today. His guitar and that great voice we all enjoy, singing those old western songs we love. Thanks John.
The ladies auxiliary joined us today and many friends were dropping in at 2 p.m for to help wish Iris and Bob Osadchuk good luck and a healthy retirement, they are moving to Manitoba.
Four ladies sang a farewell song with John accompanying them on the guitar.
We had 60 friends in the afternoon to visit and give their best wishes to Iris and Bob.
Several presentations were made from different groups they had both worked with. When I came to Rainy, Bob was teaching school and Iris was the cook at the hospital. They have been in Kinsmen, Lions, Hospital Auxiliary, etc. Iris was a great ticket seller.
They were a great asset to our area and will be missed by everyone.
We all enjoyed a visit with each other as we enjoyed the lunch prepared and served by the auxiliary. Dainties, punch, tea and coffee.
Thanks to all who made is such a special day and thanks to Ruth for driving today. Next Wed. Uncle Ray will be with us from Warroad so be sure and come out and enjoy the program.
I had to visit the optometrist Thursday, Verna drove, bless her. I was too tired to go up into the hospital, Verna went in and met Eileen and husband out walking with Emilie, she told them I was in the car, and bless them they came out to the car and I was able to get out and give Emilie some hugs, and kisses, she looks good , and was very pleased with our cards and sent her love to the group. I was so pleased to see her for a few minutes.
Well thanks again and keep well, we will see you next Wednesday, come and enjoy. Luv U Ev Moen.
