Lucy Mann is teaching for her second year in the local public system at Riverview School. Last year she was in Nestor Falls.
Mann, a native of Chatham, Ont., studied at Lakehead University and has a B.A. in Geography and a Bachelor of Education degree as well.
She met her husband in the area and now they live in North Branch. “I really like it here. I love to fish; especially for bass or pike.”
When she is not teaching her grade 4/5 split class of 23 kids, she is looking forward to coaching girls volleyball this year.
She teaches English, Social Studies, Science, Math and Language. “I really like Rainy River and have a great bunch of kids. It looks like it is going to be a good year!”
