It is his first full time teaching job and Trevor Hands is loving every minute of it!
This young man, a Fort Frances native, loves the area and was very excited to get hired to teach full time in Bergland at McCrosson-Tovell elementary school.
Prior to this job he worked at ecole Catholique de Fort Frances as an english teacher one day per week. He also supply taught in the system.
He studied at Rainy River Community College and Bemidji State University, all through the Arrowhead University Centre.
He is now teaching 23 students from grades 4-8. With such a wide range of ages he is thankful that in school he learned classroom management and adaptation skills.
He also teaches the entire school, grades JK-8 every second day for an hour of physical education.
Hey enjoys both playing and coaching soccer and is hoping to get a soccer program going in the area next summer. He also loves hockey and is a long distance runner as well.
He has family in the area. His grandparents are John and Inge Scheibler in Stratton.
