John Edward Lundin

John Edward Lundin, 275 Sixth Street East, Fort Frances, Ontario, passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 7, 2001.

John Edward Lundin (Ed) was born on January 21, 1925, in Bergland, Ontario and lived in the area all of his life. He served overseas in the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII, returning home when he was seriously wounded.

Ed worked for Natural Resources in the Parks from 1956 to 1980. He worked at Lake of the Woods Park, Caliper Lake Park and finally at Rushing River Park.

Ed and his wife, Isabel lived in Bergland until they moved to his present residence in Fort Frances. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Isabel, on September 18, 1984. Ed was also predeceased by his father, Walfred Lundin, in 1960, mother Arvida Lundin in 1976, sister Anne Mills in 1983, sister, Elsie McCasey in 2000 and step daughter, Margaret Richardson in 2000.

He is survived by his sister Esther Evans, Kenora and brother Walter Lundin, Winnipeg, step daughter Anne Cyr (Jerry), step son, Donald McLellan (Linda), Jake Richardson, and their families, of Pine Falls, Man.

Also, mourning his passing are several nieces and nephews and special friends Priscilla Wright and Don Armit.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be at Green Funeral Home, on Thursday, October 11, 2001 at 2:00 p.m Pastor Brian Keffer, officiating. Interment of ashes in Bergland Cemetery at a later date.

Honourary pallbearers: Priscilla Wright, Helen Mathewson, Donald Armit, Roy Peterson, Hilding Peterson and Allan Heskins.
