The Les Rouge Rogues of Rainy River have been actively having fun since their Sept. dinner rendez-vous at Rosalies, complete with cash bar & candy necklace treats. Ruth Holt won the door prize.
Their Oct. Murder Mystery was held at the Border Gasthaus Restaurant where laughter was the key ingredient to a successful show. A lighthouse was the murder setting allotting for party favours & decorations of a nautical theme. The door prize winner was Janet Wolanicki.
In Nov. the Rougues gathered for two craft events, the first, making evening bags from recycled bras for their Jan. “Puttin on the Ritz” gathering & the second, craft soiree making red hatter Christmas Cards.
They continued to make merry at the Christian Country Christmas event held at the Legion Branch #54 the end of Nov. with many ladies turning out in red cowgirl hats & purple regalia. Brig McGreevy commented, “I even won the bid on a red hat Old Biddy doll!” It was created & donated by Janet Schaaf.
The ladies are looking forward now to their Christmas Tea party being held Dec. 12th at 2:30 p.m. in the Covenant Church. Tickets are available at the Record Office until Dec. 7th. There will be carol singing, entertainment by “Ole and Lena”, an optional $5.00 gift exchange, dessert & party favours, and a display of over 50 nativity sets from around the world by Lu Ricci.
