4–H Pine River Club News: Milk makes it better

On Saturday, January the 19th, 2013 the Pine River 4-H club met at 9:30 at the Stratton Senior Centre. We had a moo- tastic time.
The leaders for the club are Kim Desserre, Krista Williams, and Wanda Heyens. We started the meeting with the 4-H pledge. Then we went through the rules. After that we did the Roll Call. The Roll Call was, What is your favourite thing made from milk? Lots of members liked cheese, yogurt, chocolate ice cream and cookies.
Next we held the election of officers. The President is Aynsley Williams, Vice President is Andrea Schram, Secretary Jordon Desserre (for the first meeting), Press Reporters Madison Williams and Micaela Jolicouer (for the first meeting), Alanna Gerula is in charge of the Secretary’s Book. Other Members of the 4-H club are Hayden Haw, Mackenzie Jolicouer, Ben Olson, Erika Gerula, Brett Schram, Tanner Nelison, Morgan and Kurt
Desserre and Elijah Zimmerman.
After the election, we talked about the four food groups . Up next was the best part of the meeting. Can you guess? Well it was ……. BAKING!!! We baked crunchy nachos, berry tasty muffins, and syrupy French toast. After that we munched on our fresh, fantastic food. Then we munched a little more and talked a lot more about the importance of getting enough milk. Finally president Aynsley ajourned the meeting.
We were reminded to make sure we bring our “Barn Clothes” to the next meeting on Saturday, January 26 at 2:00, as we will be visiting The Heyens’ Dairy Farm. Thank you for reading…………..MoooooooO
