Terrance (Terry) Albert Murray, 65

Terry Murray passed away on March 11, 2005 at Rainy River Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer.
Terry was born to Adele and George Murray Sr. on September 26, 1939 in Tecumseh, Ontario.
Terry moved to Rainy River with his family in 1941. He attended Alexandria Public School until 1955 when he left to join the Air Force.
Terry will always be remembered for his guitar playing and singing which livened many a gathering. He drove truck and operated heavy equipment until back injuries suffered while working forced him into early retirement.
Terry returned to Rainy River in 1998. As all his friends know, he loved to play cards and missed very few sessions of smear at the Legion until his illness made it impossible for him to attend.
Survivors include Terry’s beloved companion Susan Desjardine of Rainy River; loving daughter and granddaughter, Terri Lynn and Brittany of Thunder Bay; a son Thomas and daughter Monda of Winnipeg; a son, Alan Sutherland of Red Deer, Alta; four other granddaughters and two grandsons; two brothers, Pat and Ted of Rainy River; a sister patsy and husband Mel Borgen of Baudette; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers George A., Alfred W., Lawrence (Lala) L. and Stephen (Pudge); and an infant son, Stephen.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Terry’s life was held at the Canadian Legion in Rainy River.
The family requests memorials in Terry’s name be given to the Riverside Health Care Facility in Rainy River.
