Health Centre loses pop machine due to poor sales
By Irene Hanson
Secretary
Eleven members were present for this meeting, and we opened with the Auxiliary Prayer.
Before our regular meeting started, Larry Armstrong gave us a report on the pop machine at the hospital, because of low sales, we are unable to commit to the large orders required with out it becoming outdated, the company advised him they are removing the machine. Larry has been looking after the machine for us, and we owe him a big "Thank You."
We went into our meeting; The minutes of the last meeting read and approved, financial statement given, and special committee reports given. The Bursary committee advised our bursary of a $1000 was given to Kathryn Clifford on her entering into the second semester of her field.
Correspondence: There is an educational grant available should anyone be interested in going to the Conference in Toronto in the fall. We have no one that might want to do, so this was tabled.
We had discussions going on life memberships and a memorial honor roll; but will discuss this again at a later date.
Graduation Bursary: we will again give $1000 to a student who is continuing their education in the medical field.
The April Convention: We are not prepared to have it here this year; Joyce Penner will notify them of this, and we will await more information.
The Tuck Shop will be open on Saturdays, from 1:30 to 3:30. If you're needing something in between contact Joyce Penner at 852-3942.
This concluded our meeting, the next one is March 5 at the hospital at 1 p.m.
