Hospital Aux. to help deliver daffodils at end of March

Fifteen members were present for our luncheon meeting at the Roadside Restaurant. Joan Hall said Grace, and we joined in a very nice lunch, served by Kim. It was enjoyed by all.
Our regular meeting followed, Jessie Bodnarchuk read the minutes of the last meeting, and Doreen Kaus the financial report.
In business arising from the minutes; Pattie Bonhomme and Margarite Larocque will take over from Dorothy Markusson looking after our Lottery tickets. They will still be sold at Beaver Mills Store, Thursday and Friday afternoons, 3-5 p.m.
Our Riverside Foundation Committee representative will be Laureen Hannam, her first meeting being March 29.
We are still working towards getting an aviary and 5 or 6 birds to install in the extended care unit.
Correspondence included: a letter from Kathy Robinson, advising a second vice chairman is needed for our Area. No one was able to leave their name of this. Our Spring Conference will be at Atikokan, April 16. Any of our members are welcome to go. Let Myrna Armstrong know by April 4th.
Due to the flu closure, we will not have a St. Patrick’s party for the long term residents. However it was suggested we give each resident a live plant. Several of our members will start these, and have them ready for Easter. At the drop in Centre, there, will be a party, and the auxiliary will take care of the lunch.
Our Strawberry Social will be held at the Legion, in May, but no date is available right now. This concluded our regular meeting; however Mary Michneiwich advised there would be a seminar for Seniors at the drop in at the station on March 14, at 1:30. The topic, “Drive Wise”, given by the Ontario Provincial Police”. Anyone welcome.
Also Laureen Hannam, asking for the Cancer Society, could some of our members help in delivering daffodils, when they arrive the end of March. Several members offered to help.
We also want to say “Thank You” to the ladies who knit slippers for our emergency bags. It is very much appreciated.
