Tammy June McQuaker, 51

It is with great sadness the family of Tammy June McQuaker announces her passing at the Emo Health Center on Sunday, February 24, 2013. She peacefully slipped away on angels wings to heaven. Tammy was born in Rainy River, ON on June 25, 1961 to Helen and Andy McQuaker. Tammy was an independent, energetic and fun loving woman. She loved nature, adventure, and cared deeply for all of her family and friends. Tammy especially loved her grandchildren who brought great pride and joy to her life. Tammy was a very hard worker who worked for many years at The Trading Post in Sioux Narrows, ON. She also worked at the Crystal Harbour Resort in Sioux Narrows, ON as well as at various camps in the Lake of the Woods and Rainy River District. She spent so much time in Sioux Narrows the town became like a second home to her. Everyone knew her there and she was well loved and respected by the community; she will never be replaced. Tammy liked to spend her free time scrapbooking and incorporating her craft with her family history.

She created many albums for her family which will be forever cherished. Tammy loved her pets and animals big and small. She will also be missed for the amazing Denver sandwiches she would make anytime of the day when asked. She loved country music, everything Elvis and Garth Brooks. Tammy loved life and celebrated by attending many family functions where all could appreciate her sense of fun. Tammy will be sadly missed by her husband Warren Loveday, her children Johnny (Sonya Asselin) McQuaker of Rainy River, Michael (Lisa Holmes) McQuaker of Rainy River and Angie (Garrett Asselin) McQuaker of Pinewood, her grandchildren; Christopher, Jasmine, Taytum, Brayden, Paige, Zoe, Belle and Kolton. Survived by siblings; Margaret, Nancy, Marlene, Betty, Donna, David, Cheryl, Susie, Terry and their spouses; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She will also be sorrowfully missed by her very dear friend Bonnie Daw. Tammy was predeceased by her parents Helen and Andy McQuaker, sister Norma as well as numerous in-laws. As per her wishes no funeral service will be held and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
