On the button Stratton woman heading to mixed curling nationals

Stratton native, Angie Lee, has done it again! She has reached another curling milestone, qualifying for the National Mixed Curling championships to be held later this year.

Lee, who lives in Thunder Bay now, went to the provincial playdowns in North Bay two weekends ago as part of a mixed team. Playing third on the team, her mom said they had some really exciting games including the one that qualified them to go to Nationals November 19-25 this year.

“The last game she could not even watch the last shot made by the other team,” said her mom, Jan Lee of Stratton. “She was so nervous and it was that close.”

Lee and her Port Arthur Curling Club rink will travel to Whitehorse, Yukon this November where they will try to win a national title.

Lee has been to several championships both as a Rainy River High School student and as an adult.
