Sixteen members of the Rainy River Hospital Auxiliary met at the Evangelical Covenant Church on June 4, 2013 where we all enjoyed a very delicious potluck lunch and a time of fellowship before our meeting.
Our meeting began with Carolee Hogue reading the minutes of the last meeting and Dawn Jarvis giving the Treasurer's report.
Bev Langner reported for the Riverside Foundation that Rainy River Resources will give a donation to the Rainy River and Emo Hospitals for their palliative care rooms or supplies to make it easier for families.
Some members of the Foundation looked at our gazebos at the hospital so we are hoping that some improvements will be made.
Twelve members of the Riverside Foundation met at the Knox United Church for a supper and meeting. Everyone present enjoyed a delicious supper.
The Auxiliary will be purchasing three new flower pots, and flowers for the hospital. Some members of the Auxiliary planted flowers on June 11th at the hospital.
We also will be purchasing a bench from the town of Rainy River to be placed in front of the hospital. Janet Schaaf donated a watch to the Auxiliary for our next bazaar.
The Auxiliary will be donating to the Relay for Life Breakfast, and also to the Chem Free Grad.
We need a volunteer for the position of First Vice President. Anyone interested should contact Joyce Penner, President of the Auxiliary.
Irene Hanson has passed the pen of the Press Reporter to Carolee Hogue. Thanks Irene, for your many years of reporting our Auxiliary news.
Our next Auxiliary meeting will be held on September 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hospital Board Room. Remember, that new members are always welcome so come and join the fun. Have a great summer, everyone!
