Cancer Society grateful

Rainy River Cancer Society
Dear Editor:
With Daffodil Month soon over, the Canadian Cancer Society would like to thank the many volunteers who helped make it such a big success in our community. This April, volunteers throughout the community banded together to sell bright yellow daffodils - the symbol of hope for those living with cancer - and to knock on their neighbours’ doors as part of the door-to-door campaign to raise funds in the fight against all types of cancer.
The money raised by our volunteers throughout Daffodil Month will be instrumental in helping the Canadian Cancer Society fund promising new cancer research projects, provide reliable information on cancer, treatment and prevention and offer support to people living with cancer right here at home.
If we missed you at the door, you can still make a donation by calling 852-3573 or by contacting one of our volunteers personally.
Again, to each and every one of our volunteers, thank you. Together we’re strong in the fight against all types of cancer.
Sincerely.
L. Hannam.
