Thomas (Tom) Conrad Ronning, 64

Thomas Ronning of Rainy River, Ontario passed away suddenly on May 9, 2005 at Zhoda, Manitoba.
He was born April 14, 1941 in Rainy River; attending school at McInnis Creek and Rainy River High. In his earlier years he worked with his parents at Moose and Musky Camp, Morson, Ontario, then at various jobs in Kenora where he started his trucking career. He then moved to Eastern Ontario; on to Alberta and returned to Rainy River in 2003. In his career, he drove for 37 years, totaling almost 4,000,000 miles.
Tom enjoyed fishing and boating but most of all, his coffee time with his friends and family.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Conrad and Lorna Ronning and brothers, Ernest (infancy) and Danny. Survived by his sister Janet of Fort Frances.
He is also survived by his friends Audree Paulson, mother of Tom Jr. Of Rainy River; Kris of Lake Cowichan, B.C.; Don of Lloydminister, AB; step-daughter, Sandra Lougheed (Danny) of Islay, AB; also Terry (Telly) of Thorold, On; Melissa Rambler (Brian) of Akron, Ohio and their mother Annie. Fifteen grandchildren Brent, Stephen, Trevor, Korin, Dean, Wade, Josh, Cody, Brittany, Rae-lynn, Kirk, Terry-Ann, Tina-Marie, Bryanna and Will; one great granddaughter Kaylee.
A memorial service was held on Monday, May 16, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Rainy River Evangelical Covenant Church, in Rainy River with Pastor Gordon Armstrong officiating with interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River, ON.
Honourary pallbearers were Robert Sletmoen, Wolfgang Reimund, Murray Forrester, Frank Books, John Blight and Wayne McCarthy.
