Table cloth to be raffled off

The Rainy River Branch of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary held their Sept. meeting on the 11th with President Valerie Nelson presiding. This was the first meeting held after a two month summer break. Many catering events took place during the summer and a thank you is deserved to the members who worked these events. There was one application for membership and one initiation.
Minutes of the June meeting were read and approved. Donna Ivall gave her report on the auxiliary finances. A thank you card was received from the Tesarsky family regarding the passing of our member Lena. The date of October 5th was set for our annual Garage Sale to be held at the Legion Hall from 9 a.m. - 12 noon.
Reports of Committees were given. Marlene is again doing the Wed. night meat draws. Janet Schaff reported on visiting Verna and other members who were ill and taking fruit baskets to them.
The initiation of Jenna Yeo to the Auxiliary was conducted by President Valerie. A beautiful hand made table cloth was donated by Lou Kaliska to be raffled off at the Remembrance Day Tea.
A note to all members - Please contribute articles for our Garage Sale on Oct. 5th. Also come out to help set up on Friday, Oct 4.
