Five youths to walk longest street in the world

Ken Johnston

This Friday, July 1st, five young people from Southern Ontario will be in Rainy River to begin a long walk down the World’s Longest Street.
Jody Chrobak, Dan Rossi, Jonathon Mishrigi, Andrew Rossi and Mark Macdonnell are known as the Five with D.R.I.V.E.(Determination, Respect, Initiative, Valour and Excellence). They will begin a walk down Yonge St. on Friday at 4 a.m. in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Big Brothers/Big Sisters organizations across the province and country.
To date they have nearly $30,000 in pledges.
The Rainy River Lions Club will help send them off early that morning and the public is welcome to come out and walk with them, donate or both. They will start their route at the Border Gasthaus in Rainy River and end it at #1 Yonge St. in Toronto on Aug. 9, 2005.
They plan to be in Fort Frances on July 2nd and in Thunder Bay by the 9th.
