Veteran's tea set for Nov. 3rd

The local branch of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on October 9th with President Val Nelson presiding. Minutes of the September meeting were read and approved.

Donna Ivall gave her report on the Auxiliary's finances. We wish to thank everyone who donated items for our Garage Sale that was held on October 5th. Even though the weather was bad, people did come out to support this annual fund-raiser.

We will hold our Veteran's Day Tea on Sunday November 3rd from 2 - 4 p.m. There will be a penny table and tables with vendors selling their crafts and baking etc.

Strawberry shortcake, coffee, tea and juice will be served at a cost of $3.00 per person. Auxiliary members are reminded to donate an item for the Penny Table. Items may be dropped off at the Legion anytime before November 1st.

Anyone wishing to rent a table for the Tea is asked to phone Beaty Nault at 852-3265 or Gladys Yeo at 852-3294.
