Legion Chat: It takes many volunteers

By Walter Wagner

I am just sitting here, reflecting on Remembrance Day. Thinking about how many people it took to have a successful day.
The Choir had five or six singers plus the organist and flutist, the stage had four, the Colour Party had seven, the lunch servers had five or six, the wreath coordinator had one or two, the Banquet workers numbered seven or eight. I probably forgot somebody or miscounted, but thus approximately thirty-five volunteers right there! The best part of this is that they all are Branch or Auxiliary members. We can step forward when we are needed. When you meet one of them on the street, tell them "Good job," and tell them Thank You.
Our Poppy Chair Person tells me that donations are up from last year. That means that we are a step closer to realizing using the fund for installing a handicap user front door.
We will see to this project in the spring.
Another reminder that November 27th is elections of officers at the club. Hope to see you there.
We shall remember them.
