Legion Chat: New executive elected for 2014

We have hung another piece of history in our memory corner. As everyone observing our Colour Party will notice the Branch has purchased a new banner and the old one is now hung up in our club room, none of the older members can remember when the old Banner put in its first appearance.
When marching in the Colour Party, I didn't realize that I was carrying a flag that is probably 60 - 70 years old. There is speculation that it could possibly be the original banner, that would put it as being commissioned in the 1930's. Anyone knowing its origin, please let us know.
As you know our elections were held last Wednesday. Walter Wagner is still President, Gerry Marchuk Past President, Marlene McNally, 1st Vice; Kelly Legiehn 2nd Vice. Cam Hanson, Evelyn Bourre, Janet Schaff, Mickey Gustafson are the executive members. Ron is Sgt-At Arms and George Chojko-Bolec is Chaplain. Anne Desrosier is Secretary/Treasurer.
We still have one executive member position to fill.
We must be doing a good job, because very few members show up at General Meetings to observe the workings of the Legion.
We will Remember them.
