Stella Jean Halcro (nee Abbott), 64
Stella Jean was born on February 27, 1941 in Barwick, Ontario to Gar & Mabel Abbott.
Jean (as she preferred to be called) passed away early in the morning on June 16, 2005 in her home in St. Louis, Saskatchewan.
Jean worked for Saskatchewan Mental Health as a Private Homecare Worker for nine and a half years until she retired earlier this year. Jean also volunteered for numerous organizations over the years that she lived in Prince Albert.
Jean is survived by her children Nick (Crystal) Irwin of Hay River, NWT, Keith Irwin, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Lorri (Garry) Ewart, Regina, Saskatchewan, Shirley Irwin, St. Anne’s, Manitoba, mother, Mabel Abbott of Rainy River, Ontario, two sisters, Jennette Cross and Linda (Bob) Johnston of Rainy River, Ontario, a brother Don Abbott of Logan Lake, B.C., her special friend Russell Lepine of St. Louis, Saskatchewan as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Jean was predeceased by her father Gar Abbott, her brother Cecil Abbott, her daughter Jeannie Halcro and her grandson Donovan Halcro.
A Memorial Service was held on June 22nd, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Albans Cathedral in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Jean. A family interment will be held at a later date.
