Church hoping Music Fest will become annual event

Well, we’re at it again!! The Evangelical Covenant Church wants to try something NEW. On July 31st we will be hosting what we see could develop into a community Annual Event.
It is our desire to have a “Music Fest” in Rainy River. This event will take place on the new pavement at Hannam Park. It is our hope that this event will grow into a week long Music Fest. We are very fortunate to have many talented groups and singers in our area. We want to encourage them to use their talents. This year the event is planned for 1 day, and being Sunday most of the groups singing will have a spiritual flavour. Next year if we plan for two days, (ie) Sat & Sunday. Maybe Saturday could be blue grass or western and Sunday again on a spiritual time. A list of songs for this years entertainers can be found in our “Music Fest advertising found next week in this paper.
These artists have been tuning up, practicing and getting ready to put on a really good afternoon for us; lets give them the support they deserve. This event will start at 12:30 and end around 8 p.m. Just in time to avoid being carried off by mosquitoes.
This afternoon will be sponsored by the Covenant Church, our hope is to help this event grow into something beneficial to our town.
Come join in the fun, enjoy the friendship, eat the food, and love the music. Note: There is also a Interdenominational service at 10:30 a.m. . All are welcome!
