Hospital Auxiliary to volunter with Meals on Wheels

There were 13 members present at the Rainy River Hospital Auxiliary meeting on March 4, 2014. President Joyce opened the meeting with the Auxiliary Prayer, followed by the Minutes of the last meeting and the Treasurer’s report. This was Donna McDonald’s first treasurer’s report. Well done, Donna!
Donna also volunteered to add pictures to the Auxiliary Scrapbook.
Nancy Shaack gave the Lottery Report : We need people to volunteer to sell tickets at Beaver Mills.
Elsie Gerula gave the Tuck Shop report.
Bev Langner gave the Foundation Report. The Foundation is having a Canada Day Lottery, the Old Bags Luncheon will be at Robert Moore School on the first weekend in May. Anyone with used purses in good condition can give them to Bev .
Rainycrest reported that they welcomed 18 new residents. They will be hosting a St. Patrick’s Day tea on March 14, 2014.
Laverendrye Hospital is going to do a “Rocking for a Reason” at the Trade Show.
Emo Hospital is hosting a Shamrock Tea on March 14th. They are having 2 draws this year on a Hawaiian Quilt and one on 3 handmade sweaters.
We received several thank you cards from various recipients of our donations.
Irene Hanson reported that we have 44 paid up members and we have 8 people with fees still outstanding.
President Joyce reported that Jeanette Armstrong joins the Quarter Century Club membership this year and Vivian Hartnell will be in the Past Member Memorial.
The Spring Conference will be held on April 11 and 12th this year. Donna, Joyce and Elsie volunteered to attend. If you wish to attend as well, please contact Joyce Penner.
A motion was made to purchase new tables for the Dining Room at the Hospital. They have been ordered and we look forward to seeing them set up.

April 7-11: Nancy and Darlene
April14-19: Joyce & Gill
April 21-25: Joyce will check with Florence Newman
April 28-May 2: Myrna & Larry
The meeting was adjourned and our next meeting will be on April 1st, 2014 at 1pm in the boardroom at the Hospital. Please come and join us. Everyone is welcome and membership fees are only $3.00.
