RR Hospital ordered to boil water

Rainy River & Fort Frances, ON (March 18, 2014) – Riverside Health Care is responding with municipal and public health officials to a water main break close to the Rainy River Health Centre (RRHC). Town officials repairing the site. There is a ‘boil water’ advisory at the RRHC until samples are analyzed and approved for drinking by the Northwestern Health Unit.
Presently, RRHC staff are ensuring that bottled water will be made available to all patients and residents and that appropriate precautions are being taken in food service preparation and infection control. In addition, cautionary signage is being placed on all water taps and drinking foundations.
