Manty named new Riverside Foundation Director
Fort Frances, ON (March 25, 2014) – After a competitive search, the Riverside Foundation for Health Care is pleased to announce that Samantha Manty has been appointed as its new Director. Ms. Manty replaces Nicke Baird who recently accepted the executive director position at Northern Community Development Services (NCDS).
Ms. Manty is originally from Fort Frances and most recently worked at the Chamber of Commerce where – among other things - she recently helped stage the 18th Annual Business Awards gala. She is a graduate of the Montreal’s Dawson College program in Community Recreation and Leadership Training. She also completed an internship at the Fort Frances Museum.
“The Riverside Foundation for Health Care is very excited to welcome Samantha to this important position,” said Board Chair Livia Lundon. “Nicke Baird did a great job and we wish her well in her new role. We are looking forward to working with Samantha as we continue our community fund raising efforts.”
“I am so thankful for this amazing opportunity to work with the Foundation Board, their volunteers, and the entire community,” said Ms. Manty. “I feel that my experience coupled with my education make me a great fit for this position. I have always been passionate about making a positive contribution to my community, and am so excited to be starting a career that will allow me to do just that. I am eager to jump in and get started with an organization that has done so many innovative things to raise funds to enhance Health Care in the Rainy River District!” she added.
Ms. Manty started her new position on March 31, 2014.
Riverside Foundation for Health Care’s mission is to raise funds for the purchase of medical equipment; the support of patient/client services; and the improvement of medical facilities for the benefit of all the areas served by Riverside Health Care.
